John Burks
Johnny Burks is a Graduate of Hartselle High School. He is a graduate of Delta State University where he attended on a football scholarship. He is a National Board Certified Teacher and a United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) professional instructor. He has 33 years in education with 5 years at JPII. He currently teachers Forensics, Anatomy, and Biology. As a Coach, he has had two State Runner-Ups (Cullman 1995 and Cullman 1997) and two State Championships (Cullman 1998 and JPII 2021). In 1998, he was honored by being named the Alabama Men's Tennis Coach of the Year for High School.
