Brad Story

As a native of Huntsville, Brad grew up playing golf at Colonial Golf Course, where he taught himself how to play the game at age 12. While playing golf at Buckhorn High School he had a very successful career winning the County Tournament three times as well as nine other tournament victories. After high school, he attended Wallace State Community College (Hanceville) where he won 3 events and had a scoring average of 71.4, which led to a scholarship offer at UAB. While at UAB his mother was diagnosed with MS so he moved home to be with her and placed his last year of eligibility at Alabama A&M. During that last year. Brad won 5 events including the SWAC Championship with a final round of 66, which punched his ticket to the NCAA Regional.

After college Brad decided he wanted to become a Golf Professional, which led him to Huntsville Country Club. After being an assistant for just 6 months he fell into an interim Head Professional roll for another 8 months. Brad then left to become an Assistant Professional at The Ledges where he honed his tournament operations skills, built a junior program with over 30 participants, founded the Huntsville PGA Junior League (which now has over 150 kids participating), and provided excellent customer service. After three years at The Ledges, he left for a top 100 golf course and the number one club in Texas, Dallas National Golf Club. While in Dallas, he served as an Assistant Professional learning what makes a top 100 course operate so well. The cherry on top was getting to meet: Jordan Spieth, Hunter Mahan, Tony Romo, Lee Trevino, and President Bush #43.
