Derek Sprinz
Derek grew up swimming and diving in Chattanooga, Tennessee where he attended Notre Dame High School and the Chattanooga Center for Creative Arts. He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from Tennessee Technological University. Derek has been coaching swimming for the past four years, and he currently coaches for Saint John Paul II, Sherwood Swim Club, and Madison Swim Association. In addition, Derek competes in United States Masters Swimming as a Madison Titan and has recorded top 20 finishes nationally in his Masters age group in the 400 yard IM and 200 yard butterfly. He loves swimming and coaching alongside his wife, Cara, and spending time with his three kids: Ceilidh, Evan, and Emily.
