John is one of the hardest workers on the team both in the pool and in the gym. He puts in extra laps and extra reps. John is a competitor always looking for a personal best for the betterment of the team. John is a team swimmer in every sense. When a teammate was recently injured and needed to exit the pool- John was first on the scene and there to offer assistance, encouragement, and a literal shoulder to lean on. John has grit and the mental fortitude coaches respect in athletes, he is not easily dismayed but is rather motivated by every opportunity for improvement. He cheers loud, swims fast, and works hard. John currently has sectional cuts in the 50 free and 100 breaststroke events.
