Jack capped off a very impressive sophomore campaign by becoming the third wrestler in JPII history to win the State Championship in his weight class. Jack took 1st place in the 1A-4A 132lb weight class this past Saturday at the VBC. He handled his opponent from start to finish which was a fitting end to a season where he went 53-4 overall with 28 pins. He also took first place in the Gene Taylor Invitational, Jay Spencer Invitational, and the Sectional tournament preceding the State tournament while outscoring his opponents 338-78 for the year. Jack is a great representation of what we want our JPII student-athletes to embody and we look forward to two more years of great success on the mat!
